Oracle RAC on VMware Series 2006 planning

Next month we will start preparing to install RHEL 4.2 Nahant on VMware and maybe we will also take a shot at the Sun Solaris 10 and try RAC on it.

I'll also display the ESX typical production ready installations. I will have to re-order by Eval subscription. Then we will also (If I succeed with that I'm on the look out for some decent/affordable servers for my "Garage Server Environment" :-)

We had a decent start on our Windows 2003 10g R2 RAC and I did get lot's of emails and also a few (not to many though) one's who succeeded! That is gratifying indeed :-)

RAC on VMware series Part V published yesterday 15 Dec 2005!

Read it here and here.

Next year onwards we'll install and run RAC on RHEL 4.2(Nahant). I'll also dedicate an article to a beta product from Quest, it's called spotlight on RAC.

Quest Spotlight on Oracle RAC 10g Release 2 Beta Testing!

Ok like I mentioned before I am participating in testing the beta product for quite some time (and am almost past some nasty issues , well it's beta! What else would you expect!) and it fits kind of well with my Oracle RAC series. I might dedicate an article to it in the series. Maybe if it won't throw those integer overflow errors on my face...

For the meanwhile you can look at this AVI and see it work , I was not able to make it work on the ASM registrations, maybe later.

More later...
